The PDCA Craftsmanship Forum wants to give you an early peek at what we have in store for you at the 9th Annual Craftsmanship Conference, to be held in Chicago on September 24 and 25, 2010.
At the Conference, our goals are to:
- Inspire you by exposing you to the exceptional craftsmanship of two of Chicago's many architectural treasures.
- Give you technical instruction on lesser-known materials, techniques and application methods that may present new business opportunities for you.
- Equip you with new tools, insights and knowledge in setting up a training program in your company and building a team of craftsmen in your company.
About the Venue: The Conference is being held at the Historic Glessner House in Chicago. A National Historic Landmark, Glessner House was designed by noted American architect Henry Hobson Richardson and completed in 1887. It remains an internationally-known architectural treasure for Chicago. The structure served as an inspiration to the young Frank Lloyd Wright and helped transform American architecture.

There will be a few roundtable discussions. There will also be 3 tours: the furniture conservation shop of a large Chicago conservator (tools, techniques and materials), the Driehaus Museum (Knickerson Mansion) and the Glessner House.
